For nearly forty years, Wildwind has worked closely with the Melas and Kavadias families. This partnership has grown alongside us since the late 1980s. Many of our returning guests will remember just how basic things were in those early days: eight rooms on the ground floor, a stony beach, no lawn, and life refreshingly simple.

But as Wildwind has evolved, so have our accommodation options.

This season, Nikos Kavadias is proud to offer his brand new, large, and, well, really quite gorgeous modern family apartments. This adds a noticeably higher level of comfort and finish to our accommodation options at the beach.

This accommodation option is ideal for guests who love the Wildwind atmosphere and sailing set-up, but who would appreciate an upgrade in accommodation comfort. It’s the same beach, the same wind, the same relaxed community, but with a little added comfort at the end of the day. A true home-away-from-home!

Strengthening the Wildwind Family

Nikos, who many of you know from running the Wildwind beach bar, is very much part of the long-standing Kavadias family connection to Wildwind. His apartments represent the next stage in that ongoing partnership. And for those who enjoy a sporting pedigree: Nikos held the outright windsurfing speed record in Vassiliki Bay for many years and was ranked second-best cyclist in Greece a decade ago. Safe to say, performance runs in the family!
